I talk, he talk, why you middle middle talk?

When I speak English in front of my friends, they give me looks of derision and contempt. Is speaking good English a bane? Is it not but a sign of good culture, if not a matter of pride?

Or is it my fault? Here I am, in India, a country known for its diversity, in a time where “Staying Raw” is the hype. Speaking good English was once looked upon. And now, I sit in front of my laptop ranting on about the language discrepancies from a small town in the magnificence that is India.

At no time is freedom of speech more precious than when a man hits his thumb with a hammer.  ~Marshall Lumsden
